What is Narrative therapy?
We are especially interested in the Narrative therapy approach founded by Michael White of Adelaide SA and David Epston of Auckland NZ, and the close relationships it has with contemporary collaborative approaches and critical psychology.
Narrative therapy values transparency, accountability and mutual respect. It draws from poststructuralism, feminism, social constructivism, reflexive practice, deconstruction and the politics of power. There is a contemporary focus on environmentalism, diversity of cultures and social justice.
